This was the first time my husband and I had dinner here. Don't get me wrong, the food is really good, but I ordered a chimichanga and the size of it was no larger than a taco. I was hoping to take home leftovers. I feel that they fill up the plate with beans and rice so they can justify charging $15.00. I would have given 5 stars.

Love the food and service. Just make sure to visit the one in Papillion it is way better than the Bellevue location.

Our family went to La Mesa last Thursday as kids eat free with each meal purchased per La Mesa’s own phone application. We ended up ordering 4 lunch special meals and 3 kids meals with the assumption that our kids would eat free. Food was good but when I received the bill I noticed the kids meals were rung up at full price. I asked our waitress about it and she responds with you ordered the lunch special meals that don’t count towards the free kids meals. I responded back that that is really confusing and showed her the word use and screen shot directly from the app which I included the picture. She got her Manager and he came over and said the same thing. I showed him the photo and politely told him that the app was misleading. He tells me he will deduct the meals. I get the receipt back and only 1 kids meal is deducted. Very shady business in terms of communication. Be careful to order the main meal items and make sure you ask the right questions on what qualifies for the free meals. I hope the owner rectifies this for future guests as app is falsely advertising.

My kids love the molcajete. They get it every time. It has great flavor and heat. It is even good leftover the next day.
I was disappointed in the nachos. I wanted something like loaded nachos, but they are very simple chips and cheese, with a little beef, beans, or chicken, with some tomatoes and lettuce. I was hoping for jalapeños and sour cream. I know there are people who would think these basic nachos are great, but they just weren't what I was craving. I have been here many times and almost every time I have been happy with my meal.
The service has always been good.
